The AKN provides the opportunity to persistently archive your data in its original Access/Excel/CSV or other file format. Your data will be stored in the AKN with the associated metadata describing your project. Simply zip your data file and submit it by using the form below.

Your data will also be placed in a queue for federation into the Bird Monitoring Data Exchange schema. Once this process is initiated, we will get in touch with you to set access controls for your data. Your data can be fully restricted (level 1), made available for visualizations (level 2), have its fundamentals shared with GBIF and ORNIS (level 3), shared with others provided that they obtain the provider's permission (level 4), or downloaded directly (level 5).
